XBox 360,Playstation2 and GameCube game consoles can be hooked up to televisions in similor ways .The easiest way to connect a game console to a television is to use the AV cable that comes with the console .The flat end of the AV cable plugs into the back of the game console,and the three-colored cord plugs into the matching jacks on the television.(Yellow to Yellow for video,red to red for right audio and white to white for left audio.) Select the appropriate video input for your XBox menu should appear.If you have an S-video-equipped TV,you may want to connect your game console with an S-video cable for a higher quality picture.(Note: An S-video cable is not included with most game consoles,including the XBox 360).The flat end of the S-video cable plugs into the back of ht egame console.Then connect the S-video input on your TV.Connect the left and right(White and red) audio connectors on the S-video cable to the audio input on your TV,receiver or amplified speaker system.

Pcs and Macs have become pretty easy to set up as most manufacturers have included quick setup gudes and color-coded cables to connect keyboards and mouses.The best advice is to Connect all of the color cables before plugging it in to the electricals outlet.Also, experts suggest plugging a computer into a surge protector as opposed to a wall outlet.
Most printers,unfortunately,do not come with cables to connect to your computer.Check with your retailer and make sure to buy the appopriate cables when you purchase your printer.

Home Theater System
Home theater systems have become all the rage with their five-channel surround sound and all in box packing .The main component of a home theater system is the surround sound receiver.Essentially, everything connects to this one box.The speakers
attach to the receiver, and you don’t have to worry about which part of the cable is positive or negative.For example,if you have yellow and red cables,plugs,both ends of the yellow cable into the positive and both ends of the red cable into the negative.Or you couldplug both ends of the red cable into the positive and both ends of the yellow cable into the negative .Just be consistent.

Digital Cameras, Mp3 Players,PDAS
Any consumer electronics that connect to your PC.including digital cameras,MP3 players and personal digital assistants, all have similar ways to transfer information to the PC. Most connect using a USB cable or a docking cradle with a USB cable attached to it .Digital cameras come with the USB cable,while PDAs usually use a cradle.Anohter way they connect is by using firewire.

DVD Players
Most DVD players have two or three video and three audio hookup options, with some connections better than others. The best
advise is to buy a decent cable to hook your DVD players up to your television if you have an older television that only
has a coaxial cable input on the back,you can still use a DVD players.But your must buy an RF modulator (usually $25 to $35)
and use the cables that come with the DVD players to hook into the modulator.The modulator then hook up to the television.You can took up a DVD player through a VCR, but experts don’t recommend it.
Newer televisions have RCA inputs.DVD players typically come with a standard RCA video connectors(usually red and white)for stereo output.
these are the basic connection.Levels,so just match the colors on the cable to the colors on the DVD player and television, and
you should be in business.Just make sure you place the cables in the INPUT connections on the television and in the OUTPUT
connections on the DVD player.
