BHEL bags Ennore power project order

Outbidding leading European power equipment suppliers under international competitive bidding, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.(BHEL)on Thursday won an order for the supply and installation of steam generator and steam turbine packages at the upcoming Vallur thermal power project at Ennore in Tamil Nadu, involving two units of 500 MW each. According to BHEL spokesman, the order, valued at over Rs.1,990crore,is is for the green field power project being executed by National Thermal Power Corporation and Tamil Nadu Energy Company Ltd.(NTECL).
