Teacher in Sex Scandal
A mob erupted in anger at Turkman Gate on thursday after a sting operation on private TV channel alleged that a a government school teacher forcing students into prostitution. A maths teacher, Uma Khurana (40), was accused of having created a pornographic film at the school that she worked in. After the news was aired. Worried parents began to gather in front of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya on Asaf Ali Road, where Khurana works. And within mimutes, What began as a demonstration by angry parents turned into a riot. A Gypsy belonging to Delhi police was set on fire while dozens of private and government vehicles were damaged, and stones pelted at the pollice and media persons. Around 20 persons, including the staff and students, remained trapped
inside the school. The students were later escorted out of the back gate and a police vehicle came to the rescue of the teachers, including principal abeda Qadeea. They were escorted to Daryaganj police station and then sent home.
