Audio launch – Bheema-PawanKalayan

Pawan Kalyan launched the audio of Vikram’s latest bilingual Bheema in the direction of Lingu Swamy. Trisha plays female lead. This music launch function was organized at screen 2 of Prasads multiplex on the evening of 29 October.

Sensex sheds 194 points
The Bombay stock Exchange on Tuesday went on a roller coaster ride with the barometer Sensex first scaling a new peak of 20238 and later setting in sub 20k area on alternate bouts of buying and selling across sectors.
A number of bank stocks, including ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and PNB, fell follwing the Reserve Bank decision to hike the amount of depositors money that banks must keep in reserve. RBI to take a call on rates tomorrow
The Reserve Bank of India may have to take a tough call on whether to cut key rates or maintain the status quo when it reviews its monetary policy on Tuesday, with inflation being at afiveyear low even as excess liquidity problems persist.
RBI governor YV Reddy has a difficult role to perform as peaking interest rates have begun impacting the high growth momentum while the liquidity problem is being aggravated by surging forex inflows. While some bankers and economists expect a marginal cut in key short term rates, others feel the RBI might not do so in the face of inflation ary expections looming large due to surging global oil prices.

Sensex jumps 258 points
The benchmark Sensex on Thursday surged by 258 points as investors engaged in hectic buying on the Bombay Stock Exchange and shares of Tata steel and ICICI Bank registered sharp rise.
Foreign institutional investors hectically covered short positions in derivatives on the concluding day of October series. The BSE barometer moved in the range of 18900.10 and 18459.51 before ending the day at 18770.89 a ris of 257.98 points over wednesday close of 18,512.91. The broader s&P cnx Nifty of the National stock exchange also ended up by 72.80 points to close at 5568.95 against the previous close of 5496.15.

Marginal gain for Sensex, Nifty
After a volatile trading session the BSE Sensex closed just 20 points higher on Wednesday, ahead of the Sebi board meet to finalise its proposals on P-Notes. the sensex surged by over 300 points in early trade before slipping into the red. It recovered towards the end of the day to end at 18,513 staying positive after its 879 points surge in the previous sessions.
The NSE Nifty also gained 22 points to close at 5,496. But in the boarder market, the mid caps and small caps beat the frontline stocks with their respective indices surging by over 1% on the BSE.

Sensex hits biggest single day gain
Last Wednesday after discussions with the Reserve ministry and market regulator Sebi announced their intentions to tighten the lid on foreign investments in the stock markets. The markets went into a tizzy and the sensex recorded its biggest ever loss in a single day -717 points.
On monday, sebi clarified that in principle, it isn’t a gainst foreign funds in the stock markets. It also framed new rules that made things simpler for these investors. Sensex ends losing streak, gains 54 pts
The BSE Sensex finally snapped its losing streak after four consecutive trading sessions to close 54 points higher at 17,614 on Monday, even as global indices droped sharply on concerns of a slowdown in the US economy. Wipro has reported a 35 percent year on year revenues for the second quarter ended September 30, 2007 to Rs. 4,785 crore. The net profit stood at Rs. 824 crore against Rs. 700 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 18 percent.
The company has announced an interim dividend of Rs. 2per share. Wipro’s Global IT services and products revenue grew only 9.7 percent sequentially to $ 796.5 million.

Nifty sees 500-point swing during the day
The stock market witnessed the biggest single day fall on Thursday as the Bombay Stock Exchange 30 share sensitive index (Sen sex) lost 717.43 points at 17998.39. Metal, realty and bank stocks were the worst hit. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE) the 50-share Nifty also was down by 208.30 points at 5351.
The Participatory Notes (PNs) issued by the foreign institutional investors (FIIs)are still creating confusion in the stock market as the capital market regulator plans to impose a cap on the investments through this route, where the identity of the investor is unknown The heavy institutional selling took the indices to below the 18000-mark, which was achieved few days back.

Signs 10 year agreement with Nielsen of the Netherlands
The Nielsen Company, a leading provider of consumer and media information services, head-quartered in the Netherlands, has tied up with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for out-sourcing a portion of Nielsen’s information technology (IT) and operations functions worldwide.
Under the ten-year agreement, valued at $1.2 billion, TCS will assume responsibility for important IT and help Nielsen integrate and centralise multiple systems, technologies and processes on a global scale. It will also assume responsibility for certain finance and human resource business processes, which will be executed on new BPO platforms built by it.
The Nielsen Company provides a wide range of gl0obal services, including television and Internet audience measurement, insight and analysis of consumer behaviour for the packaged goods and retail industries, and is a major provider of business publications and trade shows.
