Audio launch – Bheema-PawanKalayan
Pawan Kalyan launched the audio of Vikram’s latest bilingual Bheema in the direction of Lingu Swamy. Trisha plays female lead. This music launch function was organized at screen 2 of Prasads multiplex on the evening of 29 October.
Speaking on the occasion presenter AM Ratnam said, “Its been one year since we launched this film. I would like to thank Vikram for his sincere support. Megaster chiranjeevi’s youngster daughter, the 19year old Sreeja, createda furore in true blue tollywood style as she decided a furore in true blue tollywood style as she decided to go ahead and get married to 22 year old Sirish Bharadwaj at the Arya Samaj, Bowenpally, between 9:30 and 11:00 am yesterday.Sreeja was quoted as saying that the couple were seeing each other for the past four years.

A journey of emotions from Tulasi
Director Boyapati Srinu armed with a tight script begins his narration by introducing his main actors a married couple and then goes on to hold the story together with a series of flash backs that has a heady mix of emotions and violence.
Overall it becomes a predictable film by interval but the director knack for finding the honesty in small moments aided it in brining general believability to the flick. The acting by the ensemble cast, the little boy included, salvages the movie and venkatesh as Tulasi gets to show his range explosive anger and wilting fear in the hospital scenes whilst losing his son.
Kamalinee aims high
KAMALINEE MUKHERJEE is aiming high for her new film Pellaindi Kaani, Which is being directed by director EVV. SATYANARAYANA. The film is a family entertainer, and unlike other Tollywood flicks that mostly end with wedding bells, this one begins with a couple taking their holyvows. “It’s been a challenging role for me, After my critically acclaimed movie Aame, I wanted to experiment with some thing different and was happy to have Pellaindi Kaani come my way,” shares kamalinee BHANUPRIYA and actor NARESH are the others in the lead. “kamalini has already proved her mettle with her roles in Anand and Godawari, and I’m sure she’ll do exceoptionally well in this flick too,”says EVV Satyanarayana.

Mahesh to do a remake film
So far, Tollywood’s heartthrob Mahesh Babu has not done a remake version of any movie, though his movies are being remade in other languages. Now pokiri will soon be made in Hindi too.
But, this time Mahesh is likely to do the remake version of the movie Azhagiya Tamil Magan, a Vijay starrer. The star, it seems, is very much impressed with the storyline of this movie. Mahesh’s will sonn be hitting the screens.
It’s party time for venky
The unit of Tulasi, a Venkatesh stareer, expressed happiness on the success of the film audio. Music director Devi Sri Prasad, director Boyapati Sreenu and lyricist Bhaskarabatla Ravikumar celebrated the event recently.
Devi Sri Prasad fans for making the audio a big success. It’s known fact that Maheshbabu avoids social gatherings, media attention and strobe lights. But here was an exception. Our shutterbugs caught the actor and wife Namrata at the audio release function of Athithi.
The film has Mahesh and Amrita Arora playing the lead. It was a rare occasion to see the whole family come out together. While Krishna, Mahesh dad, launched the audio, sister Manjula, veteran actress and mom, Vija Nirmala graced the occasion. Among others at the do were director Surender Reddy and producer Ramesh Babu.

A waiting Ram Charan
Everyone seems to be eagerly awaiting the release of Chirutha, where megaster Chiranjeev son, Ram Charan Tej makes his debut. Produced by C.Aswanidutt and directed b Puri Jagannadh, the movie is expected to draw audinces in hordes. According to Aswani Dutt, “We plan to release the film on September 28th.
We know that Chiranjivi’s fans are eagerly waiting for the film. The plot and Mani Sharma’s music are the highlights of the film. The audio has already met with success in the market. Above all, though, audiences will be looking for ward to a solid performance from Charan.”
Deadly duo
Actress Preeti Jhangiyani and Isha koppikar are all set to sizzle in Tollywood. “Preeti has done films like Narasimhaha Naidu and Tammudu and Isha has done Chandralekha. Both the actresses are popular with Telugu audiences. And that’s why we are planning to dub the movie Haseena in Telugu,” says director Ramu.
The film will be a blockbuster. Isha and Preeti are known for their acting skills and glamour,” adds Ramu. According to sources, the fllm will hit the screens in October.
Tabu back
Good news for ya Tabu fans. The talented actress is making a comeback in Tollywood after a long hiatus. She is playing the protagonist in director Chandra Siddharth yet to be titled film. It is based on Pathanjali novel Nuvve Kaadhu which is set against the backdrop of the contemporary politcal scenario.
Actors Raja and Prabhas are also cast in the film. This film will mark her second innings in Tollywood.
Pokiri’s 500 day run Kurnool
A new record had been set in the 75-year history of Telugu cinema as ‘Pokiri,’the blockbuster Telugu movie, ran for 500 days in Karnool city. The Mahesh Babu-starrer, which was released on April 28, 2006, completed 500 days on Sunday. The movie is running in a small theater after completing 175 day on the big screen. This is the first time of the history of the Telugu film Industry that a movie has run for over a year. The Puri Jagannath-directed Pokiri surpassed the record of Premabhishekam, in which Akkineni Nageswar Rao played lead role. Premabhishekam ran for 365 days. However, Pokiri created several records, including running 100 days in 200 centres, 175 days in 63 centres, 200 days in 15 centres and 300 days in two centres.
RP Patnaik turns director
Noted music director RP Patnaik has turned to the direction now. He is making his directorial debut with Andamaina Manasulo
which is being produced by SV babu. “I always wanted to be a director. During my school and college days, I directed many dramas. But I entered the industry as music director and then became singer and later an artiste in Sreenu Vasanthi Laxmi. What ever i did, I put my heart and soul in it. Now i hope I will be known as a director.”Rajeev, Archana and Sindhu menon are playing the lead roles.
